This is what i do and i have never had a problem If anyone cares, what I am trying to make is a WIDE leg pants mesh for teen males, and females - like JNCO, and if that ever works right I was going to make a saggers pants mesh for teen and adult males. I am starting to think about giving up if I can't figure this out sometime in the next several days. The original one I did had no serious issues (except that I lost it trying to recreate the process), and the new mesh looks fine in all of the editors, the MTS2 Mesh tool, and SimPE. And the imported mesh has serious flaws, like gaps in the mesh, and parts that stick out a mile.

But the strange thing is that I am getting them when I export from Milkshape also (which I have started experimenting with out of frustration). On removing them, I sucessfully imported a mesh from wings. Extra lines for g blah blah, and a line relating to mtllib. obj, and found things that did not belong.

obj code line by line comparing it with the code from the exported. obj export, and remove any lines that do not match except for the ones with all the numbers on them. If anyone can tell me if the same applies to object meshes, I would appreciate it.)Ģ). I just put it there for people new to the topic. (yes I know most of us have done this repeatedly. "g body" if it is an outfit, "g top" if it is a shirt, and "g bottom" if it is pants or a skirt. obj file in notepad, and make absolutely sure that there is a line in it that says g something. The first thing I have noticed coming up a lot, so the first thing I will suggest is to open your. It is just not the editor of MY choice.)ġ). And for those using Milkshape as their preferred editor, no offense is intended in any way to the editor of their choice or those using it. And Multiple thanks to Delphy etc for making a Mesh import tool in the first place. It is not her fault that Milkshape is the only editor that seems to work with it. (Postnote:Regardless of difficulties I am having in this process, Many thanks from me go out to WDS Brianna for her dead on tutorial.

Like I said, if anyone cares, and is interested in helping me crack this problem, I will keep this post updated. I was sure that the problem lay in the import mesh process, and after experimenting, and experimenting, I got a mesh to import! From am editor OTHER THAN Milkshape. I had those problems, and I redid the tutorial step-by-step, noting each step down in notepad as I went. If you can get to the step where you have an invisible mesh or a mesh that shows only the original mesh in SimPE, it is not always you messing up on the tutorials. It has to do with a variety of factors, and I am putting tips at the bottom of this first post. I had the Invisible mesh in bodyshop problem. I had the original mesh showing up in SimPE import problem. I went through the tutorial by WDS BRIANNA for creating a new clothing mesh. I started this post to find solutions to using editors other than Milkshape. I would like to use this thread to eventually find solutions to all of the problems relating to using editors other than Milkshape.

Also anyone working on objects (tables, a new bed, whatever) having problems related to editors other than Milkshape, please feel free to join in. I will be happy to repost the working code for the first of each editor's. obj files for the other editors having problems so I can examine the code, I would appreciate it. Update:I have figured out the solution to invisible meshes, and meshes that don't change - at least for WINGS 3D. Solution thread for meshing problems caused by.
